Being able to control someone on the ground is crucial. I personally feel side control and knee on belly are two common points of control, however they do have restrictions. Let me know your thoughts on which you feel is a better overall position when it comes to self defense. I plan to do another video regarding controlling the back, mount, and closed guard. I also plan to follow up this video with another showing different attacks/set ups that you can hit from here.
