Canada is a shithole.

I'm an 18 year old male living in canada who is about to go to college, so I've got quite a bit of time before I can think about Immigrating to a country where people have rights. I'm still very young and very stupid, but if I truly respect myself I've gotta move to a place where self defense is legal. In Canada the law reads really vague (Probably by design to make it easier for prosecutors to feed the prison system) and as I understand it you can basically kiss your ass goodbye if you do anything but use your fists against a perp in a deadly encounter. It goes without saying that in Canada you cannot carry a firearm, but in addition to this it is illegal to carry a taser, knife, or even OC spray for self defense. If you ARE carrying a knife or a baton or something and you get searched, the police officer will ask your intent and if you say self defense or the officer decides your answer simply isn't good enough, they can charge you. I can't imagine how it must feel to be a woman walking around completely helpless without any sort of self defense implement, but the laws in Canada make it easier for women to be preyed upon (probably explains the absurd amount of missing/abducted native American women our government doesn't give a shit about). Our country is a joke and soon we will just be cold Australia, the laws protect the criminals and turn law abiding Canadian citizens into nothing but prey. tldr: Canada is a police state, don't come here or look up to us.
