Opinions on training please

I am looking to start training in martial arts for self defense purposes.

I have the option of one Bjj class and one Muay Thai class a week or 2 back to back Bjj classes. I would love to be able to do more but I only have one evening a week free (shift work + family commitments) and those are the options avaliable. In July my schedule will probably change so hopefully then I can look to add more training or at the least re-evaluate.

For background I have 10+ years of off/on judo and jujitsu experience and have dabbled a little in boxing and Muay Thai. I have also got plenty of experience with C+R techniques and will shortly be learning SPEAR (Tony Blauer system) through work. Former military and former PT so strength/fitness not an issue (still actively trying to improve though).

I'm not looking to compete in either style or in MMA or anything just looking to learn MA to suppliment my non physical skills and existing knowledge.

Would folks recommend getting more rounded training or go more down the route of specialising more in one area?
