Need advise on what to buy with the intention to get a CCW and carry it.

I am looking at different options of pistols to buy and wants some opinions (I live in CA so it’s a limited selection). Right now I’m looking at Glock 19’s and Springfield XD9’s and I’m leaning toward the XD9 because I have big hands and pinkie doesn’t hang off. Do any of you conceal carry an XD9 and does it being a little bigger than a Glock 19 make it harder to carry? I’m 6’5” 220 so I’m not sure I’ll have too much of a problem concealing it.
