So just a bit ago is the second time this week I've had problems with an errant dog. First time was getting scratched by a pitbulls teeth while getting lunch at the local colleges attached food district (no blood and it may have been trying to play) and then today. I was walking my dogs in my neighborhood and a neighbor's dog was unleashed and came after my dogs (from across the road). I put myself inbetween it and my dogs and it wouldn't stop coming after them even with the owner yelling at it. Eventually after it wouldn't stop trying to get around me I started kicking at it and yelling at it. Of course that's when the owner gets it inside.
So what do I get to take care of crap like this? I kinda don't feel safe anywhere now since the local colleges attached food district and my owner neighborhood this crap happens in. Is there something I can carry to run off a dog or am I just going to finally go through with a ccl of some sort and a pistol? Because I'd rather not go that route if there is something that will 100% work weather it be some aggressive old mutt or a gsd/ Pitt.
Now I don't trust them to keep the neighbor's dog on a leash so I have to figure something out soon because I have greyhounds and they have to at least have some walking every day.
