Work CCW - conversation/interpretation

So in checking my company’s handbook, I’m curious as to how others would interpret this:Team members and visitors are prohibited from carrying or possessing weapons of any type on REDACTED property or while conducting REDACTED business in violation of applicable law. The term “weapon” includes knives, firearms, explosives and/or any other dangerous materials or articles. Weapons may not be brought or kept anywhere on REDACTED property, including office areas or production areas. Employees may not store firearms in their locked vehicles except where permitted by applicable state law and in compliance with such laws. REDACTED reserves the right to inspect your office or workspace, including your desk (as well as any contents, effects or articles therein) and your vehicle (when on REDACTED property and when permitted by applicable law) to ensure that this policy is being followed. Such an inspection can occur at any time, with or without advance notice or consent. Team members are required to fully cooperate with all such inspections. In WA, having a CPL would satisfy compliance with applicable laws (barring the fact that it isn’t a prohibited location set forth by the state to begin with).Anyone else want to chime in. Not expecting legal advice at all, just starting conversation. via /r/CCW https://ift.tt/2GPfO2Z
