[Home Defense] Best way to keep a long gun for quick access?

Hello, since I’ve been better at home carry my pistol box (ft. Knox) in the bedroom feels a little superfluous. Still, I’d like to keep something on hand and the reasonable choose seems to be a long gun of some sort due to its massive superiority with regards to self defense. In addition with a long gun upstairs I can stage something else in the pistol box elsewhere in the house.So how should I store it?I have two small kids so access control is an absolute, 100% non-negotiable.So what’s something reliable, quick and secure?
