I took a CWP course and halfway they began pushing this legal service called U.S. Lawshield and even had some guys come in to talk about it and tried to get us to pay and sign up. Is this a scam?

Honestly the whole thing just seemed really fishy to me. It started off innocently enough with the instructor explaining that self defense cases can bite you in the ass with how our legal system is even if you were in the right and this was a service he used to avoid getting financially fucked over by bad people who abuse the system. But as it progressed it just became more like fear mongering. They cited hypothetical situations, situations they claim were real that happened to people they know, and saying shit like it can cost you from $250,000-$750,000 just to defend yourself in these cases. And a good lawyer is going to charge you upwards of $30,000 or more just to see him and shit. The program works as basically a paid service you pay $10.95 a month for and in that time you're subscribed should you ever get into any self defense case, even if it doesn't involve concealed carry, you can always call this personalized number to speak to an attorney and it will be /your/ attorney on the card. Or you could pay an annual charge at a discount for 2 months free. And that attorney will defend you in court and help you at no additional charge. It sounds like a crock of shit. I asked my brother. Although he's a personal injury attorney he told me it was bullshit. But hes quick to judge things without knowing much. I looked online and saw no real evidence toward their bullshittery other than a few reddit posts calling it a scheme.Does anybody here have it? If so, is it worth it? Does anybody here have proof its bullshit? via /r/CCW https://ift.tt/2qRlbIX
