What do you guys think of places that say they ban weapons but then don't search or pat down anyone?

I went to a club last night (wife wanted to go out dancing) and there was a "we ban weapons" sign on the door and guys checking ID's. I was about to go walk back to my car to disarm but then I noticed the guys checking ID's weren't actually searching or checking anyone for weapons (and signs don't have force of law in my state).I'd be much more willing to disarm myself if I had reasonable assurances that no one else got inside with a weapon, but why bother having the sign if you aren't actually going to check people for weapons? If we're going on the honor system, the last people I would want to trust are the very people that presumably the club wants to prevent from entering with weapons, ie, people planning on shooting up the place. via /r/CCW https://ift.tt/2qPCauh
