A few weeks ago I noticed that the guy in line ahead of me at Chipotle looked distinctly tactical. Shaved head, dark sunglasses pushed up, blue jeans, black tee with veteran/flag stuff on it. Head on a swivel and perking up at every noise in the restaurant.So I was thinking: obviously this guy is carrying. But where? Tried to find out very discreetly without attracting attention. Don't stare. Look around the whole room. Cultivate an appearance of pure boredom. Maybe 4:00? No bulges around his back half though. Maybe AIWB?When it was his turn to order he visibly relaxed and even smiled. I stepped up to order too. Glance left for a split second... There it was. A vaguely grip shaped bulge under his shirt at 1:00. Probably some kind of double-stack.Clearly he's one of the good guys. None of my business. No eye contact, said nothing, let him get on with ordering his dinner. But still interesting how he seemed like the sort of guy who clearly must be armed.Is that a common experience?
