So I nearly got hit by a car while walking in my neighborhood and it made me think of this question.

So I was taking a stroll through my neighborhood a few minutes ago and I'm the way back home I so happened to come across a bunch of stupid ass teenagers (6 heads I saw) in a rusty ass P.T Cruiser trying to evade the local PD about 3 squad cars deep.Their rear left tire lifted up a bit when the driver was trying to take on a curve but in doing so he ended up going off the road and nearly hitting me. I decided it was a smart time to double time it to the left and up a small incline to avoid appearing on r/watchpeopledie. I must have been 8 feet from when they zoomed past me and my nuts have never retreated in my body as quickly as they did a while ago. Considering where I was and where the car went... I am glad my fat ass decided to move. Once the danger was gone and I knew for sure it was safe I tried to find my nuts within my body and regain my cool (I felt em in my throat).Once I found em I started to think: I have my firearm on me. I nearly was run over by a barreling car at 60mph. Would it have been wise to draw my gun? My life was in danger... But part of me is glad I didn't fire because what if I got the driver (I ain't no sharpshooter. I'm just saying lol) and he ends up pushing up daisies but the car is still going 60+mph in a 2 lane road in a neighborhood and next thing ya know the car hits a house.Thinking about that makes me happy I didn't draw but at the same time this is the first instance where my life has been in danger since I started to conceal carry (today makes a month) and I'm confused about this situation I was just in... and if I'm being honest I got scared outta my witts when I saw the car zoom on past where I was 3 seconds ago.How would you guys and gals have reacted to this if y'all where in my shoes? via /r/CCW https://ift.tt/2HBgCtq
