Should I cerakote my Tenifer coated PPQ

I have an idea to coat the slide of my CCW (PPQ) in cerakote soley for the looks, but Im wondering if this will actually bring down the durability of the gun. Ik Tenifer (PPQ's factory finish)is supposed to be extremely strong and most likely stronger than the cerakote. But Ive seen some ppl say that the Tenifer treatment is actually in the metal itself. Supposedly the blasting of the slide would take off all the black and pit the surface, but the enifer treated etal underneath the black finish is durable enough to stay and then be coated over with. This is only for aesthetics and otherwise theres nothing wrong with the gun. So will I lose anything if I Cerakote the slide? via /r/CCW https://ift.tt/2qFc519
