Road rage incident, had to draw

I've been needing to get this off my chest for a few days now, but I'm using a throwaway because my main account has some fairly identifiable information on it.I was on my way to work last week when some guy cut me off, I didn't really think much of it, it's Phoenix, it happens all the time. About 30 seconds later the same guy cut me off and I was a little annoyed so I tapped my horn a bit, which was apparently the road rage signal because this guy lost his shit.He started tailgating me and when I tried to move lanes and get away from him, he got right up next to me and tried to ram into me multiple times. This is on a major highway with dozens of other cars around going 65+ mph, so clearly this guy had some screws loose. After the second time I had to to swerve to avoid him, I did the only thing I could think of at that point and drew my firearm. I didn't point it at him but I could make sure that he saw it and he sped off. After that I was finally able to pull over and collect myself. For anyone who's going to say that I should have tried to remove myself sooner, I genuinely was trying, but the traffic, combined with how single-minded this guy was in trying to smash into me made it extremely hard.So I don't know, I'm just wondering if anyone has any thoughts on whether I did the right thing or not? I've basically been running it through my head for the past week trying to figure out what I could've done differently or changed and it's left me pretty confused and angry at the whole situation. via /r/CCW https://ift.tt/2JCelP0
