Got pulled over the other day for the first time with my CCW

So I've been pulled over plenty of times (lead foot) but this was my first time getting pulled over with my CCW (go me!). I live in small town Texas so I didn't expect any issues, but I'm left handed, carry on my left hip, and my wallet is in my left back pocket, so I was kinda nervous.Cop: Good afternoon I pulled you over for speeding back there, may I please see your license and proof of insurance?Me: Yes but I just want to let you know that I have my CDL and I am carrying.Cop: with a confused look Do you mean that you have your CHL?Me: Huh??Cop: You said CDL. I think you meant CHL..Me: Oh yeah. CHL. I do NOT have a CDL but I DO have my CHL.My friend: Starts rolling laughing in passenger seat.Cop: laughs it off Well I'm gonna make you a deal, you don't reach for yours I won't reach for mine. Work for you?Me: Sounds like a great plan!Cop: So cab I see your license and proof of insurance?Me: Yes but my I carry on my left hip and my wallet is in my left back pocket.Cop: Okay no problem just leave one hand on the wheel and grab your wallet.That's actually kinda difficult when you're nervous.He asks what I carry and we talk guns for a second and then the radio blares out about reports of an angry shirtless man (it was really cold that day) with a gun at an apartment building (which was right by my house, in fact I saw the guy they were talking about on my way to walmart. But he didn't have a gun at that point) and the rest of the stop went pretty quickly. He did say that he was going to give me a warning right after I gave him my CHL.
