I have my Wisconsin CCW permit, and it’s always been my impression that CCW permit holders are held to a different standard than your average everyday folk without a permit. That because you are a permit holder you should know the laws regarding firearms and firearm carry, whereas someone who didn’t go through a course covering laws and where to look up the laws afterward, could possibly get away with ‘not knowing’ or an honest mistake?
