Hey guys,So, I'm a very non confrontational person. However, I do have pride and never let anyone give me shit/humiliate me. Yesterday, I had to let both things happen.So, my friend and I went to a fancy mall last night. We parked in a garage, got out, and my friend noticed a nice corvette 3 spots down. He's into cars, so he went to take a quick look at it, I stayed by my car. As he was done and walking towards me, this dude runs out of the mall and starts yelling.He runs up to me, not my friend, and screams get the fuck away from my car!I told him "calm down man, he was just admiring it, he loves your car" and he yelled back at me to shut the fuck up and to never look at his car again.Now, I'll admit, instead of shutting up and walking away, my pride got to me and I said "maybe don't park in a public garage if you don't want people seeing your car?"He responded with "I'll shoot you i swear."My eyes immediately went to his waist and as he was wearing slim clothing, I could tell he wasn't armed, unless he was carrying in the back. I was carrying Glock 17 appendix.Again, my foolishness got to me and I asked "you're gonna shoot me because my friend admired your car?"As he was preparing to say something, my friend pulled me away and apologized to him. He followed up with "yeah better walk away pussy". And so I did.I have training, I was hyper aware, I was ready to draw should he have done something stupid. But now I recognize that I was even stupider for even engaging him and letting the situation get to that point.Lesson learned, always bite your tongue and apologize.
