I picked up a Ruger LCP II a couple weeks back and finally made it to the range today. The LCP II lasted a total of 4 shots before it was done for the day. The takedown pin walked completely out and the slide came completely off with a round in the chamber. I let the slide sit there in the gravel for awhile pointing down range before I picked it up and removed the round. After inspecting the situation, I realized the takedown pin is either too small or the "retention spring" is too loose. Either way, contacted Ruger and they said this is an ongoing issue and they are going to fix it. via /r/CCW http://ift.tt/2ACVpL5
