I have been concealed carrying everyday for a year now but never have I opened carried. Previously I have been against open carry because I thought it just draws too much attention to yourself and that it basically puts a target on your back in the event of gun violence. I decided to research this and have not found any good data that shows the affect of open carrying. Whether it deters crime or if there is targeted violence to those who do open carry.
