Moving to TX from VA

My fiancee and I are moving to the DFW area in three weeks. Both of us completed NRA Basic Pistol training by an NRA instructor in VA; I got my VA and AZ permits, my fiancee just never got around to actually filing for hers since she didn't own a gun.The TX DPS site seems to indicate that the training has to be by an instructor certified by the TX DPS - does that mean that our out-of-state training isn't valid, and to convert over to a TX CHL, we'll need to retake our training? Or will they accept my previous resident permit(s)? (Since she never got hers, will she have to retake training in TX?)Hoping someone else here has made a similar move and can advise.
