I remember my wallet like 99.9% of the time but occasionally (like today) I get caught up in getting the kids out the door etc and might forget it. Now with that said I NEVER forget my CCW. What do you do if have that "oh crap I'm carrying without my permit" moment? Do you lock it up in the car? Switch to open carry? I guess it depends on the state. Alabama might be a little more lenient than others. This is why damn CCW permits are retarded.
