Applying for a CCW while living with a felon

Hi everyone! Not sure which flair this fits under, it's both a scenario and also a legal question. Throw away account to protect identities and maintain privacy. I have a friend that is getting ready to take a concealed carry class and send in an application for ccw. This friend is still living with their parents for at least another year or two. The problem is that one parent has a felony from many years ago and is not allowed to purchase or possess firearms. What are my friend's options for getting a ccw permit? Will the application be denied once they see a felon is living at the same address? Can the handgun be stored in a locked safe in my friend's room? I spend most days with this friend, storing the gun at my own home when it's not being carried is another option. Don't think it would be a good idea to list another address on the application as it isn't their own home address.Worst case scenario would be to just wait another year or so until the friend can move out and list a personal address when submitting the application, I suppose.Would love to hear what you guys think! I've been trying to do some research but haven't found anything conclusive yet. Apologies for any rambling or poor grammar, it's very early in the morning!Edit: Sorry, not sure how to add title flair! via /r/CCW http://ift.tt/2rPhZMx
