As the title states, i'm looking to not only purchase a handgun (looking at the shield), but get my CCW permit as well. Does anyone in MN know what steps i need to take? As of now this is what i have - please correct me if i missed something:-Take a CCW permit class -Bring said permit to sherrif's office (Hennepin County) -Fill out application, then wait 30 daysWhen i get my application approved, can i effectively start carrying immediately, or is there more to do?
