Recently read an article about how officers went to shoot a dog that bit an officer, and a ricochet killed a nearby boy. They fired 5-7 feet away and I guess it bounced off the sidewalk.I carry when I go on walks partly for this reason- aggressive dogs have been known to wander my neighborhood. While obviously you can't think of every possibility in the moment...I've always wondered, if a bullet can ricochet of concrete, does it ricochet off of soft ground? Like lawn/soil? What about dry, crumbly ground? Or mud? Would love to see some info on shooting at various different ground surfaces... via /r/CCW http://ift.tt/2t0iczR
