I know I'm gonna get flack for this but
The nine section chain whip would be a really good concealed carry option if you're worried about getting jumped
Like it's meant to be concealed and you whip it out and start whirling that shit no one's getting close to you without getting their skull caved in.
You can get swarmed with a gun but you can keep spinning this thing after hitting someone.
I had one as a kid and never hit myself with it back then (might be a little special but I'm obsessed with non gunpowder weapons for some reason)
