Targeted again

I wrote a brief account a couple/few months ago about a situation where I had to draw my weapon for defense but did not have to fire. I had a similar situation today. This time, I was parked at a gas station, my friend was using the restroom. My window was down, as a car turned in the passenger gave me a look and I could just see the prey drive kick in.They pulled up between the pumps and the building, I was parked in the HC spot near the restroom on the side. One male jumped out and began to approach me. I had my hand on my EDC, there’s a compartment on my console which is convenient for car carry on days it’s too uncomfortable to keep on my body.He began to try and talk to me, I said “I’m not anyone you know, please keep away. I can hear you from there.” He continued to approach, I slid my weapon halfway out and thumbed off my safety. I said, “don’t come closer, how can I help you, sir?” This guy was big, about 6’2, he’s trying to see my hands, when he realized I had something, he finally stopped. Gave me some BS about hey, didn’t I meet you at Dino’s place, or Gino’s, something like that?Now, I hardly leave the house, I’m terminally ill and have limited mobility. I certainly don’t socialize, and not with any youngsters 18-25. (I’m 49). I also LOOK very sick, you could never mistake me for someone else. At any rate, he realized I was armed and went back to the car he was riding in. They took off without buying anything or getting gas. Once again, just being prepared and aware allowed me to prevent a crime from being perpetrated on me.Stay safe folks, criminals are always looking for an opportunity. This gas station is in a nice area near the beaches. And when I say “prey drive”, I mean they get this look of surprise followed quickly by a happy anticipation.
