Not a DGU or anything involving deadly force, but still relevant.Last night I was walking around downtown Jerusalem with my girlfriend and we saw a large group of people rounding the corner into the we were walking on, about 25 ft away. There was some hubbub, and they all seemed to be following one guy and shouting at him. The guy seemed inebriated and was acting irregularly, and a couple of heavily-armed motorcycle cops rolled up to intervene in whatever what was going on (these cops carry M-16s and patrol up and down the main drag downtown. It's a well-secured area). When the cops show up, some guy tells them something about the inebriated guy hitting him, then the drunk guy punched him in the face, and the cops tackled the shit out of him and took him into custody. When my girlfriend and I saw the group, we slowed down and kept an eye on them, and as the cops showed up and the situation escalated, we back tracked and took a different path to avoid the mess.Friendly reminder that awareness might come in handy, and it's absolutely a good idea to promptly avoid anything that has nothing to do with you (in most situations). Just because there's some violence close to you sure as hell doesn't mean that you need to get invovled, let alone draw your gun. via /r/CCW https://ift.tt/2xOiye8
