ALERT ALERT This an alert for all California CCW holders and future CCW holders. The California Assembly has proposed Assembly Bill 1297. This bill removes the cap licensing authorities can charge for processing your paperwork. Prior to AB 1297, your sheriff or police departments could only collect the equivalent to the actual cost of your paperwork. AB 1297 will allow them to collect as much as they want. Counties could charge anything they want and call it reasonable.
