Does anyone else find that horror movies just aren’t the same since you started carrying?

Movies have become so un-scary to me - as I can’t relate myself to being in a situation like the characters in the film. Stalker dude chasing after me with a knife? Just shoot him. Someone breaking into my house with a crowbar and intent to kill me? Just shoot him. Someone running me down with a chainsaw?
