I was thinking about this after reading the post about the incident at the grocery store from earlier today. Suppose someone is coming after you and they've said they're going to "fuck you up" meet me outside... etc. Would it be illegal in most places to "show" you have a weapon without actually brandishing it? Say someone has stated that they want to fight you and they start coming after you, they aren't intending to use lethal force (as far as you know) with only their hands and words so far. Would it be a illegal to put your hand under your shirt and on your weapon in a way that would make it obvious you were packing, in order to have them back off? My thoughts were you could make it plain that you have a weapon and at the same time not get charged with brandishing or assault. I live in NC and carry at 3-4 where putting my hand on my gun would be pretty obvious. Your thoughts? via /r/CCW http://ift.tt/2pRrVGq
