Torn between the glock 43 and 42

So I have a glock 19, but it's just too damn big, bulky, and heavy for me to carry everyday. I'm going to get a new handgun soon for conceal carry and I've already decided that I'm getting a small single stack glock, but I'm just torn over whether or not to get the 43 or the 42. The 42 feels better to shoot, is lighter, thinner, and just feels good to shoot, but it's .380. Is .380 good enough to carry? I know that most of the answers I'm going to get are going to be "it's better to carry something than to carry nothing at all", but on a personal level, do you think that .380 is a caliber comparable to the most popular pistol calibers (9mm, .40 s&w, .45, etc)? My biggest thing is that I want to be able to conceal my gun COMFORTABLY while also maintaining a strong enough caliber. For those that have or have shot a 43 and 42, which do you prefer? Why?And one more thing, a friend told me to carry .22 magnum instead of 9mm because .22 magnum has more capacity, but I've done some research and a lot of people seem to dislike that idea and still tend to carry towards the popular calibers. Everyone always says that shot placement is more important than caliber when it comes to pistols and conceal carry defense, but then why not carry .22 since you can fit a lot more ammo within a gun for a .22? From what I gather, the vast majority of people aren't willing to drop below a .380 for their conceal carry guns. Is there a reason why not to go to a .22 magnum?Update: I've already decided between the 42 or 43. I've already tried a lot of other .380 and 9mm guns that are small (Ruger LCP, Kahr CM9, Shield, etc.), but I just love the feel and the features of the 42 and 43. via /r/CCW http://ift.tt/2eGssFJ
