I have both. I initially had issues with the kahr, which was fixed by them. I have tested it with over 150 rounds without a failure. I shoot both equally well.When I carry the Shield I carry the 8rd mag, with a spare 8rd mag. If I carry the Kahr it will be with the 6rd mag, and a spare 7rd. I really like the shield, but you have to admit, the huge 45 hollowpoint looks much more devastating. It comes down to the extra 2 rounds in the gun, and extra 1 in the spare vs the huge 45 round.
