Hey guys I just wanted to post my experience with my visit to rural king to see how you guys handle annoying gun snobs but I think I did pretty well for myself. So I visit my local rural king yesterday and decided to stop by the gun counter real quick. I never like to stay very long as the associates and customers at the counter can become really annoying. I walked up to the counter which had two clerks behind it and an older gentleman inquiring about a gun purse for his wife. Clerk 1 asked how he could help me.Me: “Are you guys a part of Glocks blu-“ Clerk 1: “No.”I brushed off getting interrupted when the older gentleman steps in.OG: “Hey I noticed you’re wearing a “Never a straight answer shirt.”I look down and realize I’m wearing my NASA shirt I got from a visit at KSC and kinda smile confused. OG continues to ramble about how the moon landing was fake and that the earth is flat. Clerk #2 agrees with him and the older gentleman tries to ask me questions about why I was wearing the shirt. I ignore him and started to ask clerk #1 about some of the glocks they have. He then proceeds to tell me that the Glock is the Honda Civic of guns and that I should get a S&W shield instead.Older gentleman proceeds to tell me glocks are garbage and overrated and that I’m wasting my time looking at them. I continue to ignore him and clerk #2 offers to let me see a 26 I was interested in. As I’m checking it out and seeing how the grip feels, older gentleman is now rambling something about pinky extenders and clerk #2 says don’t bother, just get the 19 instead and that if I’m looking for something easier to conceal I should be looking at pocket pistols. I finally handed the gun back and just walked away as I was getting really annoyed with both the clerks and the older gentleman. My question is, did I handle this well by just ignoring the older gentleman and keeping my opinions of politics and guns to myself? Should I have just told the guy to shut up and leave me alone? What would you guys have done? via /r/CCW https://ift.tt/2IGkb1N
