Considered getting a LTC, but couldn't think of why I'd need one. Any reasons to get one vs not getting one?

I was looking into getting a LTC, but I couldn't think of a time where I would need to carry. I work an office job 9-5 and most days either go straight home or to the gym. Crime also doesn't seem to be an issue anywhere around where I live. Do most people tend to carry everywhere, or do y'all only carry when going certain places?
