If involved in a good shoot in California, are you protected from Civil Suit? What states honor this?

As the title states, I am curious if in the state of california you are protected from civil suit if the shooting is found to be a good shoot and charges are not pressed? Also, as my wife and I are considering moving soon, what states have this as law? via /r/CCW http://ift.tt/2CvyVxK
