Shield or glock 19 to start carrying?

I know these two aren't really comparable on price or size but these are the two pistols I'm stuck between and I was looking for some thoughts.I like the idea of the glock 19 because it is larger and easier to shoot, the problem is that I believe I will be less likely to carry it, particularly in the hot summer months in Georgia. Additionally it is nearly double the price of the shield.The issue I have with the shield is that I heard smaller pistols are harder to shoot with. I am relatively new to pistols but have had shotguns/rifles for a while. I would definitely carry it more consistently than the glock. What do y'all think?
