It's 3 am and you're awoken by a knock on your front door. What do you do next?

I'm curious what y'all's home defense setups are like and how they'd handle stuff. I think most people here sleep close to a firearm for if their door gets kicked down in the middle of the night or whatever, but what about this?For added complexity, let's assume that while this is obviously unusual, it's not 100% certain that the person knocking is someone you don't know; it could be a friend whose SO kicked them out of their house and they didn't have their phone or wallet, a neighbor, police who need to talk to you for whatever reason, etc. via /r/CCW http://ift.tt/2q6hhvy
