I must be wearing my Hanks belt wrong because my hips are killing me these last two days of carrying. Advice?

Asking for advice on how to wear a belt... I can't believe its come to this!I want to start out by saying that these are my first two full days of carrying and involve a deal of sitting. I am carrying in a Cloak Tuck 3.0 at 4:30-5 with a Hanks reinforced belt.Also, I have had this belt for almost 8 months while at school but have been waiting to get home for summer to start carrying. Basically, I have had this belt for a while and been wearing it but have not carried with it.I carry a Bulgarian Makarov which is full sized.
