It's loaded pretty hot so recoil will be higher, but when carrying a .357 mag, you only get five shots anyway. According to their data, the 140gr loaded with Barnes Tac-XP Hollow points has 1550 fps and 745 ft-lb of energy at the muzzle. Compare that to Hornady Critical Duty that has a 135gr flexlock going1275fps and 487 ft-lb of energy. I understand shot placement matters more, but all things being equal, more energy helps more with the shock on the target. Is there a reason other than recoil why this would be a bad idea?Sorry if this is a stupid question, but for hunting I prefer to look at the energy between calibers to split the difference between them.Buffalo BoreHornady via /r/CCW http://ift.tt/2qV3ZDr
