I'm going to Vegas via O'Hare. Before leaving my home in Wisconsin for the airport I'll have my firearm properly stowed. Do I have anything to fear when I check my bag and declare at the airport? Obviously, since I am not an Illinois resident I won't have a FOID card. Will I be within the law going through the airport with a firearm in my luggage?
