This story isn't mine, it's secondhand from my girlfriend that works at a local steakhouse so I don't really have all the details or confirmation of facts, but I would like to share it anyways.Apparently a patron was pulling into a handicapped space outside and was confronted by another patron with a firearm who was angry about them taking the parking space. The victim came into the restaurant and complained to management about the situation, and someone called the police. In the meanwhile the aggressor came in to eat and the two parties are seated in practically the same section. At some point the police arrive and take statements, and the offended party declines to press charges even though the one with the gun openly admits their crime. At the end of the night they simply go their separate ways. Now even though everything ended without violence, it really doesn't sit right with me. My gf said he wasn't openly carrying, so my assumption is he was carrying concealed as my state is constitutional carry open and concealed. I know that the guy who was threatened should have pressed charges, but I can see how they may have felt pressured while dining in proximity to this person. It really angers me that this guy is out there making a bad name for honest ccw-ers. Now I have dined at this place before without any fear of any type of crime, I was not there tonight, and I do not currently carry, but I do wonder what r/CCW's feelings are on how this should have been handled, and specifically why the police did not opt to take this person into custody. via /r/CCW http://ift.tt/1rhBFHo
