Hi everyone. I'm currently a college student, and I'm looking for a weapon to carry for self defense. The town that I go to school in has a pretty high crime rate, and I personally know another young woman my age who was assaulted. I used to be pretty anti-gun, but I realize that I live in a dangerous world, and I'm at a higher risk for certain types of violence because of my gender.I have been to a gun range with a friend recently, and really enjoyed shooting the guns that don't have too much punch to them. I liked the 22 a lot (please don't make fun of me), and though the AK47 scared me a little, I would try it again. I also shot a 9mm pistol, but am hoping that I can find something with a little less recoil.I'm looking for something small enough to fit into either a medium sized purse or onto my body in a discreet location. I would also prefer something that has the smallest recoil possible while still functioning as a reliable self defense tool.If I've made any mistakes or sound silly in my post, please let me know, but don't be mean!
