Got a question for you Oregon and Washington CCW holders.I'm currently a resident of WA, but I do not live in a county that borders Oregon (I live in eastern Washington). However, my family lives in Vancouver across the river from Portland, and I visit pretty often. Typically I drive through parts of Oregon to get there, and I also go into Portland relatively frequently when I'm around. My understanding is that since Oregon is May issue for non residents, they tend to deny except in extenuating circumstances. Is multnomah county pretty picky? Particularly since I don't actually live in a bordering county? Many of the other Oregon sheriffs depts I talked to (closer to where I live) flat out told me I'd be denied because I didn't have a compelling reason to carry, but I wasn't able to get a straight answer from multnomah (they just told me to apply and then they'd inform me if I'd been approved or not after the process).
