Hey everyone, question for you.. I found the language for the non resident LTC application to be a little confusing. they have 8 requirements, some of which definitely do not apply to the ordinary applicant (for example #5 photocopy of immigration documentation). The instructions preceding the list does not say "complete all relevant TO YOU". Obviously if you never immigrated you couldn't complete this one.The one that has me perplexed though is #3 report of home state criminal history record. it goes on to say if you're from Louisiana, DC or an american territory you need to provide a home state record check. Not clear if you need one if you're home state is one of the other 47 states.Since the application fee is a nonrefundable $100 (a fee that is criminal in my mind), I wanted to see if anyone was familiar with the process, rather than thinking "ah that doesn't apply to me" and just sending it in.For anyone who has done it, about how long did it take you? I live in CT (where I have my permit) but visit MA a lot and have friends there who like to go to the range so it'd be nice for me to join them this summer (not sure if this is realistic or not). As far as I can tell, I need the nonresident license in order to visit the state with a handgun and use it there. Thanks for any help and sorry for the lengthy prompt.tl;dr - did you have to submit a home state background check to get your nonresident MA LTC (where your home state is not DC or LA)? via /r/CCW http://ift.tt/25PLn6V
