Good Encounter with Paramedic

I was on my way to a meeting at our office this morning when I was in a bad car wreck. I won't bore you with the details, but the other person's car is like totaled and my car is surely totaled.Skipping all the gorey stuff and abbreviating this because part of it is a little blurry, I was pulled from my car by Fire Department first responders and lifted onto a stretcher. I was strapped to the stretcher and loaded into an ambulance. The paramedic said, "Nice Glock! I'm going to secure it and you'll be able to pick it up from Hospital Security when you leave. Okay?" I thanked him, and he carefully took my holster and firearm, swiftly and safely unloaded it, and put it somewhere out of my view from lying on the stretcher... He clearly knew his way around a pistop. He started talking guns with me, I assume to keep me alert and monitor my state of awareness, and I asked him if he has his Ga CCW license. He responded that he did, and I asked him if he was a member of our big Georgia lobby organization, Georgia Carry. He said he was, and that he loved Georgia Carry. I told him that I hold a position in the organization and thanked him for being a member and thanked him for his service to our neighborhood as a paramedic. My pistol was given by the paramedic to hospital security, who had me sign a few forms to acknowledge that the pistol was being kept by their security staff and I was allowed to pick it up when I was discharged.Great interaction with emergency workers. If everything goes well, I'll be able to pick up my firearm from hospital security tomorrow when I'm discharged. via /r/CCW http://ift.tt/1U8gwty
