Disparity of force, what does it mean to you?

It is a topic I think about alot and do a good deal of research on. It seems like it's definition is very relative to different people, and can vary more depending on local laws of the place you live. What does disparity of force mean to you? What is the absolute minimum level of disparity you would need to observe in order to draw?Massad Ayoob has a very interesting opinion on disparity. He believes that one should think twice about drawing if only one man of similar size advances on you and shows other signs of causing you bodily harm (all except visibly displaying his own weapon), and that even drawing on two men in the same scenario could be muddy waters in a defensive shooting. In his video on "Judicious Use of Deadly Force", he states that only at 3 men in this same scenario can you be absolutely certain that the law will be on your side of a defensive shooting (as long as all other criterion that warn you of imminent danger of your life are met). I feel like this definition is a bit off, as even one man advancing on you who intends to do you bodily harm with only his fists can be a deadly threat, him being the same size or otherwise. What are CCW's thoughts on this matter? via /r/CCW http://ift.tt/28MHV5o
