Car holster recommendations

I want to add a holster to my car so my pistol is more easily accessible. The two places I have in mind are either under the steering column or attached to the driver's side of the center console just in front of the seat. The vehicle is a 2006 Nissan XTerra, if that matters - and I don't have a problem drilling holes in it.My concern with the underside of the column is that I'm a tall guy at 6'4", so I'm a little worried that I will smack my knee on the pistol when I'm shifting (manual transmission). The advantage is that the holster is nearly invisible when I'm not in the car; the gun won't be in the holster, but I worry a thief will see it and target the car.The other option is the center console. This would put the pistol near my right hand for an easy draw, but may limit the travel on the seat unless it can be easily detached or is flexible. The other down side is that anyone looking in the driver's window would see the holster. The current pistol that would be carried in the holster is my CZ P-07 Duty, but I want something that could also handle an FNP-45.Any recommendations, thoughts or feedback is greatly appreciated. via /r/CCW http://ift.tt/1Ys9G5e
