Alien Gear Gun Belt Review

Sorry this took so long...I have now been wearing my Alien Gear gun belt since mid-February of this year.Here is the link to the product page: http://ift.tt/1XnvDTq this belt I was wearing an old leather belt with my Alien Gear Cloak Tuck 3.0. I couldn't wrap my head around why I was so uncomfortable after wearing my shield for a few hours (alien gear holster hate aside). Still being relatively new to CCW I did some research and quickly learned that gun belts exist. So many options and so many price ranges. I finally ended up with what seemed to be a good starter belt. The Alien Gear gun belt is steel cored and $60. I wasn't ready to spend the $100+ on the better known belts and figured this one would at least give me an idea of how IWB carry should feel with a belt not as easy to flex.I have made it a point to wear the belt all the time (whether or not I am able to carry). At first it was awkward due to the increased thickness but you quickly get used to it. After several months of wear in chilly conditions, rain, hot, humid, etc weather I am more than happy with my purchase. There is absolutely zero sag in the belt. It holds the holstered weapon in place without a second thought. There is no guess work or worry when holstering or unholstering - it stays in place and you know where that place is.I only have one issue which is hole spacing. It is the same issue you could have with any type of belt. The second hole is slightly too loose and the third hole is slightly too tight. I am a pant size 34 and the belt is a 38. I usually wear it on the 2nd hole. Even slightly loose it barely moves when unholstering and is comfortable enough that sometimes when I come home I find myself in the kitchen an hour later realizing I am still wearing my gun.Overall without knowing much personally about other belts on the market I give this one 8/10. The steel core really seems to do its job and the price point is excellent. I'm sure there is room for improvement (maybe 1/2" or 3/4" hole spacing?) but as a first belt it is great.I have been told recently that Alien Gear belts are just rebranded Bigfoot Gun Belts: http://gunbelts.com/I haven't looked them up or checked reviews on the Bigfoot belts. via /r/CCW http://ift.tt/1UhWFbn
