What is getting a CCW in California like now?

I know California has always been pretty tight with this, but it started granting permits easily for a while in a lot of counties, then stuff happened, and I don't know how it is now. I just want to know realistically what the process would be like currently, if it would even be worth one's time and effort to apply for a CCW. I ask because some say people aren't getting their applications rejected, but that they're just being dragged out, some say they are being rejected, some counties are in a "time to apply," it's just confusing and I want it straight. What's the process like, and are people getting rejected even if they meet all the requirements other than a good reason to carry? That's a big reason so much has happened and why I'm asking: the reason you give when applying for why you want or need a CCW, usually having to be something like you're being stalked, your life is in danger, or carrying large amounts of money. What if you apply without a reason like those?Sorry for the dumb questions and long post. Any help is appreciated. via /r/CCW http://ift.tt/1sfFGNh
