Adopting and CCW

My wife and I are in the earliest stages of the adoption process, and while I realize that having a child of your own or adopting a newborn would ease the process of raising a child around weapons, I began to wonder. As we look into adopting an older child (figure around 5 years old), how would I go about bringing a child into a home with guns? I won't have any idea what past experiences they might've had with them, and that's a whole separate issue, a bridge I'll cross at another time if I must.What about you?
