Enlighten me, exposing your weapon while concealed carrying

I've carried before, both concealed and open, but haven't made it part of my life in a long time. I'm now in a state that allows both. At the grocery store there was a gentlemen wearing a t shirt, with about 50% of his holster showing and his shirt just draped over the grip. After seeing him do some high reaching, I figured it had just slipped up and he hadn't noticed. I went up to him and said " hey man, your holsters showing." Hey just looked at me and said "So?" At that point I was just kind of dumbfounded that that's how someone decides to carry. Why not either open carry, or completely conceal it? He says "would it make you feel better if I showed you my conceal permit?" After realizing what this guy was about it dropped it and walked away. But someone please enlighten me, what would be the purpose of constantly exposing your concealed weapon, instead of just exposing completely to open carry? via /r/CCW http://ift.tt/1XLgg6t
